Each line I draw is my answer to her call,

saying, “I am still listening. I am still here.

I honor this calling.”

Bearing my soul open for a moment, in complete Presence I’ve created this painting. There is no form to see, no words to understand. There is only a feeling, a connection that You and I are the same.

In this moment of complete Presence, we are One.

The calling grew stronger until I could no longer resist it.

I surrendered to her, and she consumed me.

I fully accepted the calling, and this painting emerged from that acceptance.

A burst of joy, freedom and expansion with a feminine floral essence.

An ovum, carrying the sacred matriarchal lineage through generations.

From my grandmother, to my mother, to me,

and now, through me, to my daughter.

Becoming and Being.

This painting took two years to come to life.

I had to carry, birth, and nurture a child to create it.

It holds the journey of becoming a mother, and becoming myself.

The birthing is an abstract visual of what I imagine giving birth would feel like.

For months the child is within me and now she is in my arms. I birthed her!

This painting invokes a sense of balance, calm and grounded-ness within me.

I am grounded.

I belong.

I am here.

I have revealed myself.
